"last films of public places shot in the netherlands before driving across west germany right before the great flood devastating that river area and at last in the alps as usual mostly focusing on the making of my ark with august and spending very little time in public places but occasionally picking the babysitter up in the near of a big playground at the foot of the mountains and also alone without myrthe spending time together at my mother's seaside place with both the kids and august not really liking it and filming the too fancy and luxury oriented downtown especially when walking out in the evening before retuning to the mountains and again only filming in few occasions not working and taking the kids and august but also a mexican volunteer out for a hike under the small dolomites at last finishing my mountain museum and going with august to venice to fix my apartment there and filming the usual many places on our walk there and finding still quite some tourists despite the pandemic"

"filming in venice while with august after a silly fight with myrthe and having to separate from her and the kids for weeks and working hard to fix the venice apartment filming several times my walking across the city only partially invaded by tourists due to the pandemic and also making it with august to milan a few days before his flight back home and walking extensively there reaching the navigli and chinatown but also the new futuristic neighborhoods to later be left alone filming venice also late at night and early in the morning making it at last to beautiful verona under a heat wave coming finally back to our gray and cold dutch village"

"back in holland taking walks with the kids enjoying better and sunnier days in our dutch village but also venturing to germany visiting essen and dusseldorf and exploring the later city very extensively to then get back to holland and alone with the children roam around the dutch landscape always trying to communicate the beauty of nature to them"

"very pretty end of summer weather in the netherlands taking many excursions with the kids and filming both in and around our dutch village but also throughout our walks in natural reserves and also some cities like in a short visit to antwerp in belgium"

"strolling around quite consistently with my kids getting them used of keeping outdoor in the dutch landscape slowly subduing to the autumn and spending some memorable days with my two little ones like in gorinchem trying to open a bank account there and later also alone with silvester walking across the green meadows with sheep and cows before making it to provence with the whole family and filming in the city of manosque where we camped and later exploring the verdon canyon and some rather poor and destituted towns in the near with always a bright blue sky accompanying us and some occasional nice views of the surrounding hills and the distant alps from the citadels of these towns"

"filming still while in beautiful blue sky and perfect weather provence visiting forcalquier and then aix an provence and then a few cities on the way back to colder holland filming the usual landscape and also going to the rides in town with all the colorful lights and young people at last starting to work as a carpenter full days and still being able to take small walks with the children with the setting sun and later in the evening until the winter hour limited my exploring of public places and just focusing to do so mostly in the winter like with silvester going out of the crowded rhenen zoo and exploring the surrounding forest also on a sunny sunday revisiting the places in the near of our house we used to go to when i was not working"

"taking up a full time job as a carpenter getting afraid now not to be able to go around to film public places but really making use of the evenings to take walks with my kids in our dutch town and in the weekend exploring big cities like arnhem and utrecht and while working for big museum in apeldoorn but especially in amsterdam using my break to walk around the cities every day in different directions"

"still a month working full time and struggling to go out no longer making an effort in the evening to breath some air with the kids being the weather too cold and dark and also when taking walks together during my free days finding some nice days but still too cold for them at times nonetheless managing to explore together the area north of nieuwegein and tiel after trying to hike on the waal finding it too cold and also not being sent anymore to museums unable to work extra hours having to pick my kids and only once going to an utrecht museum for work and getting to explore the public places during my breaks soon however returning to a full lock down due to the raging pandemic and just making it to nature like in the near of the old and mystic radio kootwijk building in the desert"

"videos recorded over the christmas period suddenly value my free time roaming around and rebelling to the idea of working full time for some profit oriented producers of mainstream exhibitions taking my kids to the dunes in haarlem making it my changing point and enjoying with them the few days of sun despite having to do quite a renovation in the attic at home managing to go for walks also to the biesbosch and amsterdam only shortly exploring the public places in our village taking also a long walk alone during christmas day across breda going from one grandparent to the other and discovering a nice area there later also going with the family to den bosch and then getting back to work at last being placed part time and taking the kids out during my day off exploring a natural reserve near the village of oss"

"progressively breaking free from my low paid carpenter work even daring to detour on my way to work especially in utrecht to film the city and regaining my freedom of being a nomad and exploring around at last leaving work all together getting back to my life with the children going out in the dutch landscape in the increasingly sunnier days of a gray winter"

"videos taken at first exploring the usual public places in the netherlands both in our village but also in arnhem and in gorinchem before traveling with my kids across europe stopping in the south of germany at my friend florian taking some videos there of his countryside surrounding and then passing switzerland and stopping the cute hills south of como with much ugly town all around at last making it up to my native highland to search for a place where to make my new project and taking some nice videos of it in the snow despite having to carry both kids in the end also doing some videos taking a walk with also august in our mountain village before ultimately making it to venice during carnival and staying there for tha last time before selling our old and half demolished apartment"

"walking up and down the beautiful venice in the beautiful spring season selling our apartment there and recording the public places with either heavy bags taken from the apartment across the city to our car or walking around with the children and with them and myrthe spending a wonderful day in the small island of burano recording the pristine environment to later visit shortly our apartment in the alps before returning to the gray and rather monotonous holland making however a stop in heidelberg turned very pretty by all the blossoming trees"

"back in holland after all the carnival traveling getting a bit stuck home having to take livia and pick livia from school and generally moving with the children very slowly with them both wanting to move around with their small bikes and feeling unable to really stop and fil as when they were in the stroller nonetheless doing occasionally some longer explorations like for example to utrecht or to the smaller buren experiencing a return of the winter with a white landscape and the spring culminating with the tulip fields in the near of noordwijk"

"a lot of diffferent public places explored at first in the netherlands at the beach near noordwijk and back in our village of culemborg also going with my girlfriend's art students to dusseldorf exploring once again the city there going from one museum to another and then in the netherlands bringing the children to the monumental sight of the kinderdijk mills erecting themselves as pyramids in the landscape at last traveling down south and stopping in the black forest at florian and with him exploring the very cute city of colmar in the alsatian france before making it to the mountains in italy from there visiting once francesco in vicenza exploring a bit of the city there and then returning to the netherlands stopping in the very nice stuttgart landscape also making a stop in the less pretty and more touristic koblenz"

"back in holland enjoying the nice weather with the children going to the lake and to the river to swim but then getting both of them sick and only later wit little silvester making it outside of den haag by the sea exploring both the coast and the quite interesting inside of scheveningen with quite some international people leaving there and also taking myrthe to the hospital to check her sickness as well exploring later tiel and then stopping along the waal river with still the children being quite weak in the end making it to breda and there extensively walking the beautiful forested outskirt as well as the city itself going from one myrthe's parent to the other at last returning to our small dutch town and filming there with the weather also not at its best"

"still in the netherlands exploring the usual public places in culemborg but also finding new ones going to tiel and later to a forest culminating into a desert west of amersfoort berfore departing with my kids alone on a long trip across germany stopping at first in the cute aschaffenburg exploring it quite thouroughly despite the weather also bringing the children in the nearby forest before traveling further across bavaria stopping for a night in a cute village there prior proceeding further to the nice medieval city of ravensburg and then in fussen where we explored the idyllic fairy tale castle there prior crossing into italy stopping in rovereto and discovering the cute historical center there and then after extensively walking in padua to visit my sick aunt keeping with the children in the mountains occasionaly going down in the heat for grocery and then exploring the nice field already burnt by the heat"

"taking not some many videos with my children in the mountains but when going for small excursions like to the astico river and later to pick up their mother in venice stopping to say hi to francesco and his family at the seaside getting a glimpse of a more tourist environment in the end also traveling to the sea with myrthe and the kids but this time going in the wilder abruzzo staying in one of the many half abandoned villages there and visiting many beaches with mostly only italians and no foreign toursits but then driving to rome to pick up august and there finding only white american tourists but also some very impressing monumental environments to film after more than a decade and back in abruzzo visiting more of the wild beaches and also making it to the majella with mathijn escorting us there"

"still in the heat of abruzzo going to beaches with my family but also visiting a bit of the mountains there following our dutch friend mathijn and daniela in the maiella and down in the valleys where to immerse ourselves in cold springs and after more wild beaches making it back to the alps and taking more walks with the family there also with our german artist friend florian coming to visit taking walks behind the small dolomites capturing them on video also going for a day to bassano and exploring up the brenta river there and after myrthe's departure with the kids even spending a day in my native highland being quite shocked about how capital exploitation has turned into a big tourist village for lowlanders at last taking some more walks in the near of our uncontaminated mountain village before returning to holland via germany stopping here and there in at first ingolstadt turned ugly by the war like all big german cities and then in small cute towns luckily untouched by the war and finally in holland enjoying the nice and fresher weather there keeping mostly in our village with the children"

"a last glimpse of summer in the netherlands recorded mostly going around with silvester and enjoying for the last time some bathing in the nearby lake but also with livia at times after school going to the children farm or crossing the fields to the cheese farm avoiding a bit the lake with a most fluorescent green and filthy water due to the summer draft still persisting and filming also while in belgium also at a dried out lake there with the family and beside taking short trips in tiel and at last crossing eindhoven to visit the show of an old english professor at a ufo architecture there"

"despite spending most of my free time building a garage in our backyard managing to do some traveling in the netherlands mostly always with a purpose and filming public spaces in eindhoven but also in apeldoorn takin myrthe to a colleague's opening and then to dordrecht to meet her friends and later stopping in alkmaar on my way back from buying a smuggled heat pump but mostly back in our village in the middle of the country filming the changes of colours with a unusually hot weather allowing me to go for walks with little silvester and also livia"

"filming in culemborg and then later in tilburg crossing the rather multicultural and trashy but therefore interesting city with the family then spending a nice sunny weekend still with the family in the desert near amersfoort and in the city and after making it with silvester under the rain to tiel buying myself a new phone with the old one getting green pixels across the screen switching to the new phone and filming public places in amsterdam walking there with silvester getting to frozen for the cold temperature and back in culemborg having problem however to use my old camera application to keep the ratio with the video jumping upward thus decentering the vanishing point and also not really adjusting like with the official app to for example to dark scenes"

"filming with my new camera phone still having the issue with the center of the camera moving as soon as i start recording and also having the images rather moving but nonetheless managing to record some interesting space always having to keep an eye on my small children traveling with them from a rather sunny holland across france stopping in the beautiful metz and in the tourist hit strasbourg before ending up in the near of the alps covered with snow both in germany and in italy with some nice scenes of the black forest as far as i could explore it with silvester and livia and then in our mountain place experiencing the quick melting of the snow and filming around the landscape there discovering the sun walking up above the clouds also one day making it to the very gray and squalid vicenza avoiding in general the most polluted flat land in the end returning to the netherlands via the romantic path heading to wurzburg visiting some very cute places starting with a very nice austrian village"

"back in holland in the middle of the winter still however with a mild yet gray weather keeping mostly in our village having sold our car to exchange with a van a mostly doing some sightseeing bringing the van up north to turn it into a camper and later travelling by train making it only once to utrecht and later amsterdam filming public places there"

"a special month with august visiting from sweden recovering our roaming habits and crossing several cities like the old days also making it to natural sites getting quite a big variety of films compared to my otherwise static life with my small children going with my big boy to arnhem and rotterdam and leiden but also managing to cross amsterdam with my small ones even making it to the nice west of the city"

"feeling not so happy about my new camera phone taking way too broad scenes distorting the edges and also making automated adjustments while filming trying to do these adjustments manually at each individual shots but always having to consider not to loose too much time having to also keep an eye on the children but either way getting some nice shot out in the nature taking long walks with them making use of our new van mostly in the weekends going to a forest near oss and then by the waal river and lastly to a quite artificial but interesting park north of rotterdam and beside for it mostly keeping in our village with a gray and cold and rainy weather often keeping us indoor"

"traveling to the northern france with the family and camping there taking nice walks over the nice coast line but also visiting some quite rough cities like boulogne and filming the public places there before venturing in the flatter coast near calais and then visit once again the fancy city of lille prior returning to a rather gray and cold holland keeping mostly in our village until travelling to the mountains in italy and there also taking the family for small excursions like on the hills near vicenza and then on the vaccaresse mountain ridge before travelling back up north and staying in a nice valley in germany filming the places there with much rape flower colours at last returning to the netherlands finding it once more rather gray and dull but for some days of clear sky and sun spent outdoor mostly with myrth still home from work and little silvester also trying to bring livia to nature after noticing how much she gets affected attending mandatory school"

"filming while in our dutch village pretty much walking around the same routes with little silvester and myrthe still sick taking the children also to the biesbosch and then all together traveling to the beautiful limburg taking a big walk there and also later camping in the near of dusseldorf filming the german countryside and a former nasa rocket launching station before filming in the actual city on our way to the japansese quarter then mostly filming while taking the small walks around our dutch village"

"a most nomadic beginning of the month at first keeping with the family exploring utrecht and later alone walking through amsterdam to pick august from the airport but then with him traveling to sardinia filming the amazing coast there going from the south all the way to the north stopping in a small village north of oristano and exploring the coast with august despite the weather and also visiting the beautiful alghero before reaching galluria and there with august going for a long walk from costa paradiso south across amazing cliffs also visitng later with my old friend davide the beautiful capo testa island with its hippie colony and back in the nethelrands bringing august and the kids to eat ramen in rotterdam walking slowly through the hyper gentirfied city before beginning to travel with both august and silvester through germany stopping in a nice but quite run down village just north of giessen and then at florian in mullheim taking my boys up to the castle there and in the black forest but also going down to the rhine river with florian and his girls before continuing to switzerland and bringing august into zurich to check a university there filming with silvester in my shoulders having no stable grip to my camera phone"

"in the alps filming to begin with in zurich with both my sons roaming around the city to get my oldest august to check a university there but with the youngest silvester being most upset about it then making it to the nice nature but still with silvester on my shoulders making filming rather impossible till at last reaching the nice hills over our camping along the sihl river valley and then from there crossing the alps to a small village near bergamo spending the night there before bringing my oldest son to the airport and continuing with my oldest to our mountain place covered with sheep and later spending a few days at garda lake walking a long strip and up to the medieval padenghe before picking livia and myrthe up from the airport and back in the mountains trying to take walks together despite the bad weather managing to hike small and middle range mountains like enna and novegno to then push it all the way up the pasubio with my old friends francesco and sandra much impressed about little strong livia on my side and despite later spending regularly time at the ark gluing tags managing to be out with the family quite much going all the way around the beautiful dolomites of the baffelan range and also once making it to the rosolina beach and to the lavarone lake near my home town before going alone with the children back home driving through the beautiful austria stopping at the majestic fern pass for a few days exploration of the wild nature there and then through the duller and duller teutonic landscape"

"in the netherlands taking advantage of a most beautiful weather bringing my old friend davide around and mostly in the nature discovering a very nice natural reserve in the near of osterwijk and also visting with him the ugly but lively tilburg later going with the family to the very east of the country to camp finding the environment there too much cut out by many ugly big farms but on the way back rediscovering the idyllic hills just north of rheden and getting very happy there walking through them with my children later with them and their mother also walking through utrecht and in general keeping a lot in our town doing errands and filming public spaces especially as they get all torn apart by the environmentalist politicians wanting to transform them into gardens later trying to be more out in the real nature with my children going to buren and then back to rheden for a long walk with them and then crossing all the incredible landscape from the outskirts of haarlem to the sea"

"enjoying still some warm weather trying to spend time outdoor despite now both my children having to attend mandatory school and going often to the river alone filming it and taking the children to nature every time they are free from school visiting a forest nearby their grandfather in breda and going to the big river waal in nerijnen but also taking them for a major excursion from the city of haarlem all the way to the sea filming the beautiful dune landscape there feeling rather bothered about how more and more inaccessible it is to humans but nonetheless getting my children to fully experience it and then with also their mother walking on the other side of our river all the way to an old fort filming the charming dutch landscape there in the end going to maastricht to take care of the dog of myrthe's older brother and visiting the too gentrified city bringing back the children to the places myrthe and i used to go to"

"still some filming in maastricht and the surrounding next to myrthe's older brother villa where we stayed capturing the very pretty and hilly landscape all around and then returning to our village making it a point to roam around it almost daily and also with the nice weather taking the children to the forest in doorn and alone crossing the ugly tilburg at night to attend a little concert by mathijn and his band in the end experiencing a weather getting worse and mostly walking out to the open surroundings alone and in the city experiencing the the little cosmetic interventions of the ruling green partying trying to show how environmental and progressive they are making just a lot of mess in the village"

"a month with a lot of rain trying to go out at least once in the middle of the day walking to the arboretum and back depicting pretty much the same autumn landscape of our dutch village and also with the family venturing from the south of utrecht to the hanneke's place in the center despite the constant rain and then with one day of no rain taking the children for a nice walk just north of rhenen crossing the beautiful solitary forest there and also with them spending a day again in utrecht crossing the city going this time from the center to the south"

"despite the rainy weather making it twice to utrecht with my family and generally with myrthe at work and the children at school trying to take daily hikes and with some sun making it over the dike and up the river and across the green fields otherwise mostly keeping within the village also filming it slightly covered with snow and with the children off from school traveling to a forest east of oss venturing in a very beautiful and wild later alone also reaching the forest north of arnhem walking straight up from the city"

"filming during my usual walks to the arboretum to do tai-chi and filming with the family visiting rotterdam and later spending a day in a nice desert near ede later making it to italy for the winter holiday finding a too warm weather and no snow taking walks even all the way up the top of the mountains also visiting my native highland of asiago devastated by tourism and back in holland checking out the about to flood rivers later enjoying a very cold weather walking up and down the river in the more remote nature finally revived by some real winter"

"still enjoying some weeks of very cold weather in the netherlands walking on the frozen landscape in the strip of wilderness next to our river and filming also in town and occasionally making it to the ugly veenendaal to get myrthe's boots repaired but also spending with her and the children some nice time in neerijnen with still some snow and sun and a beautiful and almost spring like day in the forest east of oss reaching the pristine lakes there then alone with the children exploring the east of rhenen finding a beautiful path over the hills next to the river and then also finding a very nice forest south of waalwijk letting them cross it with their little bikes myself walking fast behind them and then venturing back in the desert dunes"
