PAINTINGS: MONTH #181

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #182

"painting in the attic and still finding it quite dark despite the new spot light and creating a drop like central shape maintaining the black dot yet giving less importance to the blue flow"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #183

"painting right before the birth of sylvester and keeping it rather light with a side dot and finally deciding to photograph the resulting painting under the window to get more daylight avoiding later post editing"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #184

"making use of time myrthe and silvester are asleep as well as livia to paint in the attic and resolving a too large pink surface with an extra circle now turned almost three dimensional with an extra layer of silver"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #185

"still painting while all the family is asleep both in the morning and in the afternoon now pursuing the silvery circles and recovering the blue dropping surface in a sort of a locked up rectangular background"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #186

"still a painting with a rigid grid in the back and the blue flow on top now painting mostly with both myrthe and the kids asleep and at last beginning to use more colours in the digital filtering of the painting to avoid unnecessary overlapping"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #187

"spending time in the attic only to update my project and having literally no time to paint with livia no longer taking any naps during the day and at last getting half a day off with myrthe traveling to hanneke with the kids and painting this time using a new brush with pig hairs but indeed having to go back to the old brush for a finer paint keeping the same lines of the previous painting but then also rounding them up"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #188

"taking advantage of myrthe's colleagues coming to visit baby silvester to have some time in the attic to paint and really now approaching the type of paintings i was doing as a young man thanks to the actual drawing made no longer with the brush but with the pencil making the set up more dynamic and keeping pretty much all the primary colour palette with now two separate dots"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #189

"feeling quite satisfied with this painting now reaching the moving and the dynamic of the painted scribbles i was doing as a young man and mostly reaching such dynamic quickly executing the scribble with the pencil and then carefully balancing and painting the resulting surfaces now with only a black surface transpassing under the blue one and a red dot almost also sucked to the center"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #190

"working hard prototyping the textures for my tebah and leaving painting aside and only getting back to it with myrthe going to hannele with the kids and resuming it in the same fashion as before with the pencil drawing as a base giving quite a dynamic but unable to make a good colour balance and distorting now the usual round dot into also some dynamic shape"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #191

"painting executed in the little moments at my disposal in the attic mostly with the family asleep and after drawing yet still using the pencil background making a very energetic scribble and then setting the different colour snow using a new brush with a bit of a rounded tip keeping a imperfect circle with an extra yellow surface and a central silver surface"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #192

"painting executed in the attic of our dutch house still with little lighting and perhaps finding the actual scribble a little too crimped in the middle fixing it now with a larger gray surface to the side yet being unable to differentiate in the post-editing the orange surface and the red surface"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #193

"painting executed now trying to make a broader and fast scribble taking more of the vertical space than the previous paintings and later reasoning from there the shapes and colours to apply resulting in quite a satisfactory composition with different forces emerging from different sides"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #194

"taking a long time to finish this painting not so satisfied with the too central and horizontal set up and doing several modifications to make it broader with a less predominant top and bottom surfaces"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #195

"going over the painting several times and feeling quite satisfied with the actual scribble beneath it and also spending quite some time digitally editing the result cleaning the borders even after applying the dithering filter"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #196

"taking my time to execute this painting now almost getting rid of the blue flow that has characterized all previous paintings but keeping the central yellow shape and all other colours transiting across it"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #197

"executing a painting now making use of the last days of my girlfriend's maternity leave and making a much less vigorous pencil drawing and working on the shapes and the colours before hand only after the first painting phase removing part of the green area making more silver area thus creating a nice interweaving of the coloured surfaces"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #198

"taking my time to finish this painting now that myrthe has resumed her work and making use of her time at home to fix the shapes making them rather proportioned to one another with a general left to right movement and with the daylight of reflecting on the painting altering the resulting photograph particularly in the silvery gray regions"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #199

"painting executed during a long time in the short moments free from the kids and all the project updating and keeping it rather simple with still a gray and blue surface appearing as under and over layers as well the usual circle painted yellow"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #200

"painting executed across a long period of time and without painting darker colours at first and then lighter colours on top but just using the same light colour twice keeping a rather simple shape still recalling the former paintings with the round yellow and the blue drop"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #201

"simple painting executed now dedicating more time in my study with myrthe at home due to the coronavirus outbreak and preparing the base of the painting using six primary crayons i got from little livia to determine the surfaces after drawing them and prior painting them"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #202

"painting executed during the coronavirus outbreak now with myrthe left home from work and myself spending more time in the attic painting despite the little light and this time also venturing with dynamic shapes cutting left to right and almost upward the square panel keeping intact the colour palette but recovering the red dot at the epicenter"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #203

"painting executed during the coronavirus pandemic with myrthe now taking over my study and spending little time there during the day also quite caught up in prototyping the numerical tags of my project but nonetheless managing a rather dynamic painting with two ovalized red dots and still a silvery shape making it across all the rather dynamically tilted shapes"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #204

"painting executed over a long period of time with myrthe now taking over the attic to work remotely given the coronavirus pandemic lock-down and making me unable to spend much time in the studio i built there but at last managing with some extra time with both the kids asleep to finish it using crayons to define the colours underneath and in fact having quit e a good result with a shining yellow and the other shapes moving across horizontally and an orange taking over a too predominant silver gray"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #205

"again very little time spent in the attic with myrthe now taking it over during the day due to the coronavirus lock-down forcing her to work from home and mostly spending the dark hours there also adding a panel on the only window to protect us from the strong sun and having little light to paint but anyway managing to complete one painting feeling rather bored during the weekend with both kids and myrthe asleep"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #206

"taking a long break from painting with my girlfriend taking over the attic during the day to work being forced at home by the pandemic and also working on an oil painting for francesco my high school friend helping me with accounting work and at last setting up a light in the ceiling so that i can also paint in the evening and executing the painting with the usual style yet this time spending some time every day to clean the borders and at last having also to increase the amount of colours for the outcome file given that with too little colours the orange and the red surface where made the same and really liking these surfaces making up an eye almost as if by painting i create an entity that can observe me"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #207

"still following up almost symmetrically the previous painting and using pretty much the same colours for the same shapes taking a lot of time to fix all the borders digitally with only the silver bottom turning too dark but having no problem this time to apply the filter just also fixing the levels afterwards to make the overall painting lighter"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #208

"taking my time to execute this painting especially cleaning up all the edges in my image editor after taking a picture of it and after several sections of work getting a good result with a bit of a depth to the various shapes almost as if suspended on the background surfaces"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #209

"managing to paint despite an intense period taking care of the kids full time and also welding the texture of the project museum but taking some time to execute the painting with the usual red ball now standing as if kept up by the other surfaces joining together and particularly taking my time to edit the photograph of the painting on my computer cleaning up the borders"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #210

"trying to keep up painting also in view of the summer in italy where i want be able to do so and executing a rather dynamic composition reworking several time on the colours of the surfaces replacing some colours in the lower part and later working quite much on the computer to clean all the edges and make the red circle even more red not bothering too much of the reflection i got on it when photographing"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #211

"trying to make a last painting before going to italy for the summer to work on my museum there despite the situation being quite hectic with myrthe taking more and more time for her work taking over the attic but having some time mostly in the early mornings and in the weekends and painting also to keep away from all the computer work realizing a fairly simple composition in line with the previous paintings but still with some tight corners i have been only able to sharpen doing quite some digital editing"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #212

"getting back to painting after building the project museum in italy and finding a bit hard to rescale myself to a more domestic creating setting an nonetheless producing this painting an also generating a red moon just under a green dot in general making a dynamic painting and working a long time on it also digitally with however the colours on the left being too dark especially the yellow not matching the yellow part in the middle"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #213

"a period feeling quite tired having to take care of the children from early morning to late in the evening and only rarely having some time for myself in the attic to paint and even doing so in the night with the light on and executing this painting with a red and green ball balancing themselves as some sort of hallucinating eyes in the abstract movement created by the shapes below and working quite a long time to clean them up digitally on my computer"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #214

"taking a long time before being able to paint with the attic upside down due to some renovation work wanted by myrthe but in the end getting a big window a nice light for my paintings after so many executed in darkness without much day light and following my previous painting only dislocating the red sphere and creating a bigger one with yellow"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #215

"painting executed right before departing for a long trip to italy still with not so much time to dedicate myself to painting having to take care of the children almost full time and feeling exhausted in the evening but managing along with silvester while livia began her new school to quickly compose this painting with somewhat deformed spheres converging together"

 PAINTINGS: MONTH #216

"executing the painting on my return from italy now being left with silvester at home and spending time with him in the attic playing nicely giving him also some cardboard to paint on showing him the procedure of making the painting keeping it again rather simple with a lot of curved shapes and balls"
