 WALKS: MONTH #220

"traveling with the kids on a slow train to rome and spending some frantic days in the capital to begin with feeling very cranky with our host taking up all my attention to them but then walking the three of us alone and checking all the usual tourist sites goign from the colosseum to piazza di spagna and up to villa borghese and then walking from the cirucs maximus all the way to the caius cestius pyramid and from there getting the metro to the very desolated fascist neighborhood of the eur later escaping the chaos of the city having a great time with he children alone in the pristine valleys with its aqueduct eventually crossing the caffarella valley and reaching the historical site of the via appia and back up north really taking it quite easy taking a little walk in vicenza with my uncle and then helping myrthe's oldest brother to install himself and his family in the house they bought in our village and then on our way back having myrthe to fly to us and taking a very nice walk with her and the kids on the beautiful garda lake going from the medieval city of lazise up to bardolino enjoying the early and quite warm spring finally returning to holland having to confront the gloomier weather there but nonetheless taking daily walks around our village with a period getting stuck after silvester fell hill"
